Pomona Valley Audubon - About Our Chapter

Our Purpose
Like the National Audubon Society, Pomona Valley Audubon exists to:

• Educate the members of the society and the public at large, including all age groups, to the need for the conservation of wildlife in their natural habitats
• Aid in purchasing and maintaining facilities for wildlife and nature preserves
• Finance wildlife research and preservation
• Engage in any such educational, scientific, investigative, literary, historical, philanthropic or charitable pursuits as may be part of the stated
  purpose of the National Audubon Society.

Our Projects & Support
In pursuit of these goals in our community and world, we:

• provide a local PVAS phone to answer wild bird related questions.
• help support our local wildlife rehabilitation center, Wild Wings of California.
• introduce our community to birds and their needs, birding, local and national/international wildlife areas and eco-activities.
• educate our members, teachers and public.
• fight for wildlife areas.

PVAS has long been a leading force in the San Gabriel and Pomona Valleys in the preservation and appreciation of birds and other wildlife. Here is a little of our scrapbook since 1968.
