Biology 176: Tropical Ecology
Spring 2009

Tropical Ecology is offered in the spring semesters. The course assumes no prior ecological background beyond second semester Introductory Biology (44L).


Costa Rica Field Trip

An optional field trip to Costa Rica may be run in conjunction with this course. Students spend Spring Break  in the Pacific lowland rainforest of the Firestone Reserve (http://costarica.jsd.claremont.edu) The focus of the field trip is direct experience with a  variety of fauna and flora. Participants should be physically fit and willing to endure discomfort.
